It was a hot, sticky Sunday afternoon in Tokyo and the Jingu Bridge area just outside of JR Harajuku train station was crowded with bemused onlookers, mostly tourists, as it is every Sunday of the year.

Out of the almost fifty or so Harajuku girls and guys meeting that afternoon this girl with deep black hair and just the one eye showing through caught my attention and this image was the result.

She was talking to a friend, whose dark hair makes up much of the left half of the photo, which thankfully worked well to frame the whole shot in almost perfect darkness.

There were plenty more interesting subjects that day, which I will upload in the coming months.
