Just found you through Japundit. Very nice site and amazing pics. Looks like you teach very much how I teach in that you like to use street signs, etc. I do a series on youtube.com/gimmeaflakeman called Japanese for Morons and Street Kanji. Looks cool - in a strange kinda way.... As if viewing through a time-slip window. What dreams and hopes are stored in this shop... who owned these things (let alone the shop)... and what stories could they have told.

Then again, it could just be a pile of old crap.

I like the moments when you accidentally come across things on a trip and something's stirred enough to take a photo (or a memory). Unfortunately, am always too busy to stop and take photos!

What caught my attention is that the deleted letters of the shop’s former owner. I assume it starts with 株式会社くろさわ, (Kurosawa Inc.) but I can’t make anything from the rest.

And I don’t think the former owner is Akira Kurosawa either
