I've just discovered this collection of booklets ands I think is amazing ! Really you feel you are able to read every word and every tale.

Definitely these booklets increases my ego studying japanese !

Yeh I think they’re great for putting words in to context which I think is an important part of properly learning vocabulary.

I have some of these books and LOVE them! I actually learned words from them without using a dictionary. Having understood most of the sentences/story, and given pictures and context, after 2 or 3 read throughs it just clicked: “Oh! That’s what that word means!” Like magic!

And this: http://www.jisho.org/ is a very useful dictionary, for every word there are lots of sentences and examples too. The books are an excellent and fun way of learning. Great review and nice pictures

Minor correction…your title for the “The Girl” should be listed as “女の子” or ”おんなの子” (if you don’t use the first Kanji). I just noticed you have a あ rather than な there…

But good review, and nice blog! I agree wholeheartedly about these readers, I got a few and I think it’s really true about the feeling they give you as a beginner. Good stuff.
