Thanks so much for this list, I am going to print out the one with blank for meaning and try it on my way to my JLPT on the train :D

I just did it now and only got 45! eeeep, test is this weekend!

Quite a few I got wrong I was like OOOH obviously, I know that, but it was so weird seeing them out of context/not conjugated. Another couple I was close like I thought はしる was to hurry to, instead of to run, but I think in a multi choice JLPT I woulda picked right in context.

Maybe I am kidding myself must cram study for next 2days!

^_^ Best of luck with your test. Please let us know how you go!

@Yuka_mi

Here's one a friend made for last year's test, might be useful for you:

Thx that's a great list

This list looks useful!

I would love to see some notes telling about the conjugation of these words... like how they are use in -masu form (the problematic ones are those ending in -ru).

The point of not writing in romaji is to make sure you already KNOW how to pronounce it just by reading the hiragana. I don't mean to sound pushy or mean, but if you can't read hiragana, I would suggest going back and learning to.

hahaha ohhh poor you , but can you write the romanization ? Like hmm ,話すために (hanasu tame ni ) To speak , , ? :)

あそぶ can also means to have sex.... i say this because... one night as i was wandering in Tokyo, a woman grabbed me by the arm and said "あそびへ行く"... which i had no idea what she meant. >_< until she told me in english. eeeee... might not be the same word as "to play", but anyway, it's very similar in speech. Might be written with a different Kanji.

Yes that's correct - there are two verbs for "to play" and one has the sexual connotation, meaning "to play around". The other one is あそび  (遊び) - JLPT3.

yes , how to pronouce this verbs :) example : わたる 渡る ( what is the pronouciation of this signs?) to cross over, to go across

Can you write the pronounciation please :)

Pronunciation for the hiragana?

Nice list. Those who memorize all those verbs should have no trouble getting through the related section of JLPT 4. I'm taking a break from the exam this year, because I want to wait until they've made the changes and add a new level between JLPT 2 and 3, then I can decide which of the tougher exams I want to take in 2010.
